"Volunteering at Immigration Services Calgary was an enriching and remarkable experience. It was an honour to help immigrants and refugees in their settlement journey in Canada. As an immigrant myself, I had a better understanding of how immigrants could face problems comprehending the language or just the general procedures, hence, I made sure to take special note of those who had difficulties communicating and helped them out at a pace that was easier for them to understand. This opportunity allowed me to hone my skills in communication and problem-solving thereby assisting me to successfully transition into my role with Canada Revenue Agency.
