2013 Immigrants of Distinction Awards Finalists

Calgary, AB, Monday February 12, 2013 – Immigrant Services Calgary is pleased to announce the finalists and youth scholarship recipients for the 17th annual Immigrants of Distinction Awards. The awards celebrate the outstanding achievements and contributions of immigrants to Calgary in the categories of Arts and Culture, Business, Community Service, Organizational Diversity, Lifetime Achievement and Achievement Under 40. The esteemed Hadassah Ksienski Distinguished Service Award recognizes the lifetime achievement of leaders in the community dedicated to furthering diversity and helping immigrants. Recipients will be announced at the annual awards gala to be held on Friday March 1st, 2013 at 6pm at The Westin, Calgary.

This year, the gala will mark the end of Immigrant Services Calgary’s 35th anniversary. The event is expected to host over 600 guests including representation from government, the corporate community and the voluntary sector.
